Lean manufacturing is a system of tools and methods to eliminate all waste in the manufacturing process. Improving workshop layout and reducing enterprise handling cost is one of the tools of lean production. This paper introduces the computation on redesigning the sewing’s layout of garment companies using TCR and SLP algorithms with the minimum handling cost, maximum closeness and total handling travel length. This result showed that handling cost was reduced and a safe and comfortable working environment was created. Equipment and production space were used more efficiently by eliminating the bottlenecks and maximizing production efficiency on the existing equipment, while minimizing downtime
