Abstract

Courses in the fields of mechanics, such as Theoretical mechanics; Strength of materials; Soil Mechanics; Fluid mechanics... is the basis of most of the training programs in the fields of Mechanical Engineering: Construction; Military ... These mechanical courses often play a decisive role to the quality of training and qualifications of persons trained in most of the engineering disciplines in the areas mentioned above. In many training program, courses in the fields of mechanics account for 60-70% of time in the major subjects.

Therefore, enhancing quality of teaching mechanical courses plays a vital role in improving quality of undergraduate education in general and in the technical industry in particular. This paper aims to point out challenges that universities and faculties are facing in the teaching of Mechanical courses and solutions to improve teaching quality.
