Abstract

Smart key technology on cars and motorbikes is currently one of the latest technologies being applied by many car and motorbike manufacturers. With this Smart key locking system, the driver uses a Fob control device to control and unlock the power supply for the electrical system on the motorbike. Smart key system is equipped on motorbikes to reduce the number of vehicle thefts, however, there are still situations where motorbikes on the road are robbed by thieves and used to escape. From that practical problem, the research team conducted a survey of the operating principles of the Smart key locking system on motorbikes, to find a method to further improve the anti-theft function for vehicles equipped with the Smart key system. This article presents the results of researching, designing and manufacturing an electrical circuit to control the anti-theft function on motorbikes using the Smart key locking system. Experimental results on the Honda SH 125i series show that the anti-hijacking function is activated when the Fob control device is out of a radius of about 2m around the vehicle. This function will cause the engine to stop operating and give an alarm activated by sound and warning lights on the vehicle.
