Abstract

In today's highly competitive market economy context, the development of employees’ skills is a crucial factor in securing a sustainable competitive edge for businesses. Accordingly, internal training programs play a key role in enhancing employee skills, enabling them to meet job requirements effectively and adapt flexibly to the increasing demands of the modern business environment. This article proposes a scientific, innovative, practical, and feasible approach to designing and implementing internal training programs focused on capability development. The proposals presented in this paper provide businesses with a comprehensive process for enhancing employee skills, preparing them to face workplace challenges and optimizing work performance. This process can be integrated into the company’s human resource development strategy, contributing to improved workforce quality, strengthening competitive advantages, and promoting the sustainable growth of the business. By investing in internal training, organizations can ensure their employees are well-equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving marketplace, ultimately benefiting both the workforce and the sustainable development of the business.

Giang Phi Hung received the B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2015. He is currently pursuing the MEd degree in Institute of Technical Education at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. From 2023 to 2024, he was a Supervisor of Learning and Development Department in Jabil Vietnam, Saigon Hi-Tech Park, HCMC, Vietnam. His research areas in the field of education and educational science include developing competencies for students and professionals in businesses, strategies for human resources development, and enhancing workforce competencies of the enterprise in Vietnam.
