He is working as a Technician at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. His research interests include the development the methods to determine the metals in foods samples, materials and environmental. He also works on environmental quality assessment.

Thanh Nho Nguyen, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Nguyen Thanh-Nho currently acts as a lecturer and researcher. He is specialist in Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology. He obtained a PhD. in Earth Science at University of New Caledonia (France) in 2018. He hold a Degree of Master in Analytical Chemistry from University of Science – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in 2013. Dr. Nguyen Thanh-Nho has worked many years on the analysis and risk assessment of trace metal(oid)s in food, medicinal, agricultural products, and other contaminants.

He has a broad insight and interest in the identification, fate and health relevance of water and sediment pollutants, i.e. biogeochemistry of trace elements, their nutritional relationships in tropical ecosystem, especially (e.g. mollusk, crab, fish, snail, various types of trees) and questions relating to sedimentary processes in coastal area. He also serves as an advisor on environmental issues and analytical processes to various organizations such as center of environmental analytical service, companies supplying analytical instruments. With the strong knowledge and experience on the environmental chemistry and analytical chemistry, his studies are going on the quality of soil, sediment and water applied for agricultural cultivation as well as on the bioavailability of trace elements and their bioaccumulation into plant and animals tissues that can be a potential risk to human health.
